The number of job cuts announced by U.S. companies last month fell after a surge in October, but still hit the highest level for any November in three years, according to Challenger data, a U.S. employment consultancy. Hiring intentions this year are down 35 percent from the same period in 2024, and year-to-date hiring plans are the lowest since 2010, the report noted.
